Todo Tuanis, Mae?

This past week has seen the death of Juan Carlos and the reincarnation of Ellen.

I've been reflecting a lot about my time here in Costa Rica. Can you believe that I have less than a month left here? I can't. I can't even fathom it. Leaving my family and friends is going to be impossible. But you know what? Elena is ready to become Ellen again. The more time I spend here, the more I miss little things from home which in part makes me miss everything as a whole. Talking to a friend back at home about silly nothings made me wish there wasn't a webcam and five countries in between us. I spent an hour today at McDonald's, eating cheeseburgers and just thinking about good old 49 cent Wednesdays. I have already started to make a list of goodbye presents that I am going to have to get together before I leave.

But then there's the part of me that doesn't want to leave this lifestyle. The time has come, but in my perfect world, I would go home for the two months left in the summer and then come back down and do it all over again. I met some of the chillest people last night, and I worry that I won't be able to get out and make new friends like I do here when I get back home. Confidence has been built, now we'll just to put it into action.

School is going to be hard to get used to again. The classes here have been a joke, for the most part, and I know that my life in NC revolves around school and nothing else. Not going out, not meeting up with friends, not traveling the country on weekends, not having a Casona.

Man oh man. June 21st isn't going to be pretty.
